Puerto Rico State of Emergency; Island Shut Down unitl March 30

Rodi Cargo Int’l. Inc. reports:

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the governor of Puerto Rico declared a state of emergency and has ordered a 24/7 shutdown of the entire island until March 30th, 2020.

 

Only banks, pharmacies, supermarkets, medical equipment companies and hospitals will be allowed to open. They have also issued a curfew from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM. All government offices will be closed, therefore, the Dept of Hacienda will not be releasing any shipments unless they are perishables; medical supplies or supermarket goods.

 

Please hold any shipments arriving into Puerto Rico at origin until further notice. Any shipment in route to Puerto Rico will have to remain at the airline or steamship company until this shutdown has been lifted.
